Woodland Tree & Landscape began serving the Madison, NJ, area in 1947. Originally founded by Ed Corpenning of Morristown, the company was bought by Harter Tree in Long Island in 1965. This division of Harter ended up run by Vince Licari, who ultimately bought it in 1974, to truly run it as his own. Primarily doing tree work, they were the area’s first real tree experts.
In 1984, Vince was joined by his son, Jeff, who became a full partner in 1987. Together they took the company to the next level. That year, they added the landscape division to offer a full-service company. Over the next 25+ years, Woodland has developed into a complete Tree and Landscape construction company, serving the boroughs of Madison and Florham Park, as well as the Townships of Chatham and Morris, and all surrounding areas.
Today, still run by Vince and Jeff, Woodland employs over a dozen people, specializing in the intricate areas of tree care and landscape design, balancing customers’ desires with expertise and environmental responsibility. Woodland’s dedicated owners and employees continue to uphold the company’s reputation for quality and dependability by exceeding expectations of long-standing, loyal customers in addition to very satisfied new ones.
